tis the season of shopping and finding the perfect gifts for the ones you love most - and if you've had a photo session of any kind this year, take advantage of those precious images by creating gifts for your friends and family! below I've shared tips for preparing and curating photo gifts for the holiday season!
first things first though... locate your images!
locate exactly where your images are stored and that they are easily accessible for when it's time to order. y'all I am talking original download file here - not a screenshot!
Can't find your images or gallery link, message your photographer now to see if your images are still available for download - keep in mind, some photographers archive images after a certain timeframe and they may have to take extra steps to assist you in generating a new gallery link which could take a bit especially during the holiday season. Please please please always download all of your images and store them in a safe place once you get your gallery (okay - off my soapbox...)
framed images
raise your hand if you walk into TJ Maxx and walk out with 5 random picture frames because they were THAT good?! yeah - me too! whether you're thinking a single frame or maybe few for a wall gallery, printed images are a simple, thoughtful gift for loved ones! here are a few of my favorite frames that I am loving this year:
- floating frames | these are perfect for any photos (family and portraits in either color or black and white)
- ornate elegant frames | these are stunning and a B&W portrait (think littles) would be perfect for this!
- matted frame | these are perfect for any photo and can be easily styled into a gallery wall
my clients can shop and order matte frames, canvases and prints directly from their gallery link in the print shop! click the cart in your gallery to get started!
digital frames
digital frames are wonderful gifts for grandparents or elder family members and friends! although they can be pricey - these are perfect to gift as a group! be on the lookout for black friday deals and snag one at a great price. things to take into consideration when purchasing and what to look at in reviews: battery operated vs wall plug, is it user friendly, process to upload images and does it require wifi? here's a digital frame I recommend.
photo albums
do you have a gallery you just LOVE and never ever want to forget the season of life or milestone your in? photo albums are perfect for this! I would recommend gifting these to your closest loved ones - especially if you recently had an extended family session captured! be sure you have some time to sit down to shop, design and order your albums as the process can be a bit overwhelming.
