I really love my job, mostly because of the people I meet and especially when I get to photograph friends. When Kayla asked me to photograph her maternity session it was an immediate HELL YES! She was torn between an indoor session in her home or doing something outdoor, so we did both and I am SO glad we did!

When I arrived I was greeted by big sisters, Ruby & Lucy! I was so excited because (a) these precious pups were being included in the session and (b) all of the gorgeous light that poured into their home. Kayla wanted two looks for her indoor session - something cozy and something classic - and y'all, the pictures speak for themselves.. she nailed them... of course with the help of Ruby and Lucy! Hadley Jane's nursery was soft and sweet - I truly don't think I'll ever get tired of photographing nursery details!

The outdoor session was a quick drive to a park down the street where Tyler bikes frequently. Would you believe me if I told you it was 30 degrees out? Brrrr! Colder weather makes for snugglier sessions though, am I right? The wind was pretty frigid, so we found a little patch of glow next to the creek and escaped the wind for a bit before moving to the larger field at sunset. We made our way to the large grassy field, turned on some music and soaked in the last little bit of sunshine the day had to offer before running back to the car.

Tyler and Kayla are so easy to love and I know they will be stellar parents to their precious Hadley Jane. They were a dream to work with from beginning to end and their gallery is nothing short of stunning! I have SOO many favorites from this session - like OBSESSED with every picture - so below I'm sharing a few favorites. Hope you love them too!

Cheers, friends!
